Austin and its surrounding areas offer a variety of events this weekend. Individuals can listen to live music, learn about Japanese culture, enjoy fireworks and more. This list is not comprehensive. Event details are subject to change.

RippleFest Texas 2025
Over 30 bands will perform at this stoner rock and metal music festival across two Austin venues. Some performers include Mothership, Luna Sol and Desert Suns.

The family-friendly festival immerses participants in Japanese culture with food, kids’ activities, music, dance, fashion, cultural presentations and travel tips.

Austin Taco and Margarita Festival
Attendees will have the opportunity to sample a variety of tacos and margaritas while enjoying live music, street food, frozen drinks and a raffle for a trip to Mexico.
Calvary Art Fest: At the intersection of art and soul
The two-day family-friendly festival will feature painting, sketches, stitchwork and more from local artists. Live music and snacks will also be available.

A general admission ticket to the Sweet Eats Adventure Farm & Petting Zoo fall festival includes access to the corn maze and daily pig races. On weekends, admission includes access to the candy cannon, a fireworks show and community campfires. Patrons can also pick their own pumpkins for $0.85/lb.
Power Brewing Project will host a workshop to teach guests how to make their own dumplings. Each guest will receive pre-made filling and wrappers, learn the traditional dumpling folding method and be able to take home 8-12 dumplings.
The Tool tribute band Learn to Swim will perform in downtown Pflugerville. Guests are invited to bring lawn chairs, pets, blankets and friends for an evening of music. Food vendors will also be available.
The city of Pflugerville will host its 5th annual Cardboard Boat Regatta, inviting participants of all ages to build a boat and paddles using only cardboard and duct tape. On the day of the event, participants will board their boats and race to the finish line at Gilleland Creek Pool. Boats must be built in advance of the race and participants are encouraged to register online.

Lakeway
Lakeway Players Present "Pump Boys & Dinettes"
The musical set in a small North Carolina town follows the story of four gas station workers and two diner waitresses as they serve up performances of country, rock and pop music.
The self-guided, two-day showcase features 13 professionally remodeled homes. VIP tickets include an invitation to the 20th Anniversary VIP Party at Facets Austin on Sept. 18. Kids 15 and under can attend for free, but strollers and non-service animals are prohibited on the tour.
The reception will honor winners of Lakeway’s 23rd annual photo festival in a variety of categories. Winning photos will also be showcased at the Lakeway City Hall Art Gallery in November and December.
