The Woodlands Township announced June 5 the addition of two stops to The Woodlands Express Park and Ride service in Houston's Museum District.
The two new stops, Montrose Boulevard at Bissonnet Street and Main Street at Binz Street, are located at the western edge of the downtown Museum District near The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. The stops will be added to The Woodlands Express Texas Medical Center route, with the Montrose and Bissonnet stop used for morning operations and the Main and Binz stop for evening operations.
"This new addition to the Museum District is good news for residents of The Woodlands to enjoy the world-class museums that Houston has to offer, and to get there and back in a convenient, comfortable and affordable way," said Gordy Bunch, The Woodlands Township board of directors chairperson, in a news release.
The new stops will be available to commuters taking the Texas Medical Center route from any of The Woodlands' three park and ride locations. The route includes eight morning runs to Houston and nine afternoon runs returning to The Woodlands. Bus schedules can be found on the Township
website, and live updates can be found through the Ride Systems mobile app.
The Woodlands Express operates Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Tickets can be purchased at any of The Woodlands park and ride locations or through The Woodlands Express mobile ticketing app. For more information, call 281-210-3800 or visit
