Voters in the Tomball and Magnolia areas can cast a ballot May 5 and May 22 for a local election and primary runoff election, respectively. As of April 5, Harris County had not released a sample ballot for the May 5 election.

May 5 local election

City of Magnolia Proposition A “The reauthorization of the local sales and use tax in the city of Magnolia, Texas, at the rate of one-fourth of one percent to continue providing revenue for maintenance and repair of municipal streets. The tax expires on the fourth anniversary of the date of this election unless the imposition of the tax is reauthorized.” Harris County Emergency Services District No. 15 Proposition A Voters within ESD 15 in the Tomball area will see a proposition on the ballot regarding a 5-cent increase in the property tax rate ceiling for the district to help fund staffing and construction of fire stations for ESD 15 and the Tomball Fire Department, according to ESD 15 Commissioner Buddy Roth.
