After two weeks of early voting, Hays County officials report 11,351 residents showed up at the polls. In addition, 2,056 mail-in ballots were received. More Republicans than Democrats cast ballots for their respective parties over the course of the two-week period, according to data provided by the Hays County Elections Office.
