As part of the $55 million bond approved by Buda voters in 2014, the city plans to build a new, expanded library, but before begins work on the new facility, the city is seeking input from residents. A survey has been posted asking residents for input about what sort of amenities should be included at the new library, when the facility should be open and how often residents believe they would use the new library. Those who complete the survey, which takes about five minutes, will be entered into a drawing for a Visa Cash Card, according to a city news release. City spokesperson David Marino said the library will be part of the new municipal facilities, which will also include a new City Hall and a new public safety building. The facilities will be built using $27.75 million of bond money. Marino said the projects are currently in the design phase. The survey will be open through June 15.
