Open since 1994, this family-owned and -operated retail shop has grown from a wedding registry and small accessories business to an extensive showroom of Old World-style furniture, rugs, linens, lighting and more. 6. University Federal Credit Union

One of the newest additions to Village at Westlake. This branch is the newest of UFCU's Interactive Financial Centers in the Central Texas area. 10. Woof Gang Bakery and Grooming

The store will have a large selection of items for dogs and cats. The bakery and grooming center plans to stock premium organic foods and supplements as well as toys, beds, bowls, leashes and apparel. The store plans to have full grooming services as well as a do-it-yourself area with "loyalty lockers" in the Paw Spa for frequent visitors. Owner Amy Wissler wants to give back to the community and plans to have fundraisers for rescue groups, yappy hours, adoption days and guest speakers such as Dr. John Faught from Firehouse Animal Health Center.

11. Lupe Tortilla

If the buzz from diners is any judge, Lupe's opening in West Lake Hills could be a big event. With its second location in Austin, Tex-Mex, seafood, and grilled specialties are featured in the Lupe Tortilla menu. The restaurant is scheduled to open in late August or early
