Roman Forest to host ribbon-cutting ceremony for new playground equipment

The city of Roman Forest is hosting a ribbon-cutting event to celebrate several new pieces of playground equipment at Roman Forest City Park.

The details

City Administrator Scott Castleberry said the event will be held at 5:30 p.m. March 16 at the park, which is located at 2430 Roman Forest Blvd., Roman Forest.

Castleberry said the city is expanding its current playground with the addition of:

• Six slides
• A fireman pole
• A climbing area
• Overhead bars

“In addition to the playground apparatuses, we have added a cozy pod spinner and two whirl-and-twirls that are perfect for young children,” Castleberry said.

Castleberry noted the park's swing area will also be updated with new borders and wood chips.
