This data compares with the 2019 survey results, which studied the country from 2015 to 2019.

In both New Caney- and Porter-area ZIP codes, the median household income increased between 2019 and 2024, according to bureau data. ZIP code 77357 saw the largest percentage increase at 22% as the median household income rose from $62,321 to $76,050.

When it comes to educational attainment, the percentage of New Caney and Porter residents 25 years or older who are high school graduates or higher, rose between 2.2-7.4 percentage points from 2019-24, according to bureau data.
Additionally, the percentage of residents 25 years and older who earned a bachelor’s degree or higher also increased, growing by between 2.1-3 percentage points from 2019-24.
