1. Party on the Farm
Splendora Project Grad will host this 13th annual event featuring a barbecue cookoff, car show, live and silent auctions, and live music performed by Jesse Loving.
2. New Caney Community Market
Held the first and third Sunday of the month, the New Caney Community Market features over 60 vendors and local food trucks.

3. Educator Appreciation Day
All school teachers, staff and faculty will receive free admission to Big Rivers Waterpark & Adventures with a valid school district ID.

4. Steak Night
VFW Post 4816 invites the community to a steak night with all the fixings and Cinco de Mayo margaritas.
5. Community Table Night
Held the first Thursday of the month, this social and networking event is designed to connect neighbors, local businesses and professionals.
6. GEMCC’s Annual Grand Prix 2026
Spend the day with the Greater East Montgomery County Chamber and network while racing go karts at Speedsportz Racing Park. The event includes lunch and awards for top finishers.
7. Shred it EMC 2026
The East Montgomery County Improvement District will host this free document shredding event at The Atrium Center parking lot. Acceptable items to shred include office paper, file folders and thin cardboard. Attendees do not need to remove staples, paper clips, rubber bands or small binders.
8. Mother’s Day at Big Rivers
In celebration of Mother’s Day, moms receive free admission with the purchase of one ticket at Big Rivers Waterpark & Adventures. Free “Mom-osas” will also be served, while supplies last.
9. Farewell to New Caney Elementary School
With a replacement campus set to be completed this summer, former staff, alumni and families are invited to this open house celebrating the original campus.
10. Latin Heat Wave
Attendees ages 21 and up are invited to head to Big Rivers Waterpark & Adventures for an event featuring a DJ with nonstop Latin beats, specialty cocktails and after-hours water park access.
11. Girls with Horsepower
The Food Zone is holding an all-female car and bike show. Registration is required.
12. Big Summer Blastoff
Kick off the summer at Big Rivers Waterpark & Adventures. The waterpark will be open all day and into the evening for the first Park After Dark of the year, and the night will end with fireworks.
