Memorial Day tribute
Honor U.S. service members who have died at The Woodlands Township's Memorial Day event. Music, children's activities and a firework display, depending on the weather, will be part of the event.
Memorial Day Hero SaluteThe second annual event will honor those who died for freedom with a half-marathon, 5K, 10K and a short kids race.

Memorial Day Celebration
The Memorial Day ceremony at Friendswood City Hall will include a special guest speaker, musical tributes and a veteran photo opportunity.
Memorial Day ObservanceDuring this Memorial Day event, attendees can bring old flags to retire and purchase new replacement flags. Following a ceremony, the event will include food, bounce houses, games and vendors. Attendees are encouraged to bring folding chairs as seating is limited.

Tribute to Heroes and FreedomThe 18th annual "Tribute to Heroes and Freedom” event will be held by Forest Park, The Woodlands to honor service members who have died. The tribute will feature a presentation of the colors by The Woodlands Fire Department, a parade of wreaths ceremony and speakers. The event will also include live patriotic music and free food. Attendees can also view the graves of 500 veterans who are buried at Forest Park cemetery.
Tomball Walmart's Memorial Day ProgramOn Memorial Day, the Tomball Walmart will host its annual program, which will include a reading of the Gettysburg Address and the retirement of an American flag.
Kroger Military Discount DayTexas veterans, active personnel and their dependents can enjoy 10% off in-store purchase totals on May 25, in honor of Memorial Day. To receive the discount, a Kroger loyalty card or alternate ID and a military ID or proof of service must be presented. A Rewards Card or Shopper's Card must be used to receive the discount, and items such as alcohol, tobacco products, prescriptions, fuel and gift cards are excluded from the discount.
Sugar Land's Memorial Day CeremonyThe city of Sugar Land will be holding its annual Memorial Day Ceremony in honor of soldiers who have died. The names of fallen soldiers written on the Remembrance Tower at Sugar Land Memorial Park will be read as part of the ceremony. The event will also feature a military vehicle display by the Sixth Cavalry Historical Association, wreath-laying ceremonies, a military flyover from the Houston Commemorative Air Force and a 21-gun salute conducted by the Sugar Land Police Department Honor Guard. Music, patriotic crafts and more will also be part of the ceremony. A free shuttle service from Brazos River Park will also continuously run 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Highway 59's northbound frontage road will be closed due to the event, so guests are asked to enter via the Sugar Land Memorial Park entrance.
