New Caney ISD parents of special education students are invited to an event Nov. 1 where they can receive training and support, according to a news release from the district.
What you need to know
NCISD's Special Education Department is hosting a parent symposium, which will take place from 8:30 a.m.-noon Nov. 1. According to the release, the event will feature:
- Training opportunities for parents
- Resources on behavior, transitions and support for navigating the Texas Admission, Review and Dismissal (ARD) committee
- Vendors from across the Greater Houston area
- Opportunities to ask professionals questions and to meet with other parents
- Free child care during the event
