The Rusty Buckle Craft BBQ and Texas Cuisine reopened in a new space in New Caney on Sept. 25.

The backstory

As previously reported by Community Impact, the reopening comes nearly three years after a Thanksgiving Day fire destroyed most of the original restaurant's cooking areas in 2023. In the meantime, owner Allen Rhoden served customers from a food trailer and reopened the restaurant on the other side of the building before deciding to construct a new, larger space.

What to expect

Located behind the original restaurant site, the new venue features indoor seating for up to 125 guests plus an outdoor patio. In addition to barbecue, the eatery offers burgers, country-fried steaks, fish tacos, nachos and steaks.
