EMCID's Spring 2026 Community Development Grants were awarded to multiple organizations during the May 12 board of directors meeting, according to EMCID's website. Grants of up to $5,000 can be awarded under the program.
The grant program is designed to help fund initiatives that "benefit the East Montgomery County community," according to a May 15 EMCID social media post. Winners for the spring 2026 grants are:
- Boy Scout Troop 1013
- City of Splendora Utilities and City Hall
- City of Woodbranch Village
- Community Assistance Center
- H-Town Dream Center
- First Methodist Church Splendora
- Friends of R.B. Tullis Library
- Montgomery County Youth Services dba YES to YOUTH
- New Caney High School Spirit Band Club
- Porter Spartan Women Basketball Boosters Inc.
- Roman Forest Police Association
- Splendora Project Graduation
- The St. John of the Cross Food Pantry
- Wildcat Cosmetology Booster Club
