Plans for a 6.3-acre “Park Phase” project for The Dwelling are being updated, a spokesperson for the church confirmed via email Oct. 14.
The details
As previously reported by Community Impact, The Dwelling’s Park Phase will include:
Sodded community sports fields
A covered pavilion with restrooms
A driveway and parking areas
Retention and detention areas
Under the new project plans, the pavilion will be enlarged, requiring some re-engineering and permitting, the spokesperson said. Originally expected to wrap up in October, work is now estimated to be completed by the end of 2026.
Some context
Construction began on the Park Phase project in June, as previously reported. Future phases of construction are planned to include a playground and a new ministry facility for community events and worship.
