Home prices dip, sales rise in New Braunfels in October

As year-over-year home sales increased in the New Braunfels market, median home prices decreased, according to data from the Austin Board of Realtors.

Home sales were up 40% in ZIP code 78130, with eight more homes sold this October compared to last year. In 78132, there were only two more homes sold.

With sales up, median home prices were down. Prices in 78132 dipped the most in the market by nearly 22.5%, going from $769,450 to just under $597,000.

Just under half of the homes in the market—21—were sold between the $300,000 and $499,999 price range in October. There were also:

• 5 homes sold for $900,000 or more
• 3 homes sold between $700,000 and $899,999
• 11 homes sold between $500,000 and $699,999

Homes in 78130 stayed on the market for 57 more days in October compared to last year, a nearly 248% jump. In 78132, homes stayed on the market for an additional 34 days.
