Boozy Ball Cookies was started in the home kitchen of Kerry and David Christensen in March, and a soft opening for its online store was held Sept. 15. The shop's virtual grand opening will be held Nov. 1. The shop sells soft and chewy, liquor-infused cookie balls that are prepared in Alamo Kitchens—a commercial kitchen in San Antonio—and delivered throughout the area. A new 7-Eleven location is nearly complete and is slated to open Nov. 4 at 2505 I-35, New Braunfels. The convenience store and gas station will be the fifth 7-Eleven location in New Braunfels, and it will also house a Laredo Taco location. 800-255-0711. www.7-eleven.com

Big Hops, a craft beer bar that has three locations in San Antonio, is slated to open a New Braunfels location at 2188 Hwy. 46, Ste. 107, in November. The taproom is expected to have more than 30 rotating taps and will serve beer, wine, mead, cider and nonalcoholic drinks. www.bighops.com
