Laurel Grace Yoga to relocate to larger downtown New Braunfels location

Laurel Grace Yoga first opened at 351 Main Plaza, New Braunfels, in August of 2020. Now, the studio is relocating to a larger space in the Postal Annex on North Casteel Avenue.

“I have to admit that opening a new studio during the pandemic was a little scary, but the downtown area really, really needed it,” Lauren Wiedenfeld, owner and teacher at Laurel Grace Yoga, said in a press release. “I was determined to provide a safe space of respite where students could explore traditional, roots-based yoga.”

Wiedenfeld plans to move into 139 North Casteel Avenue, Ste. 500, on Oct. 1. The space formerly housed the downtown branch of Dance by Design.

Following the transition into the new studio, Wiedenfeld plans to increase class sizes from eight to 18 students, and she will add more morning, afternoon and evening classes to the schedule.

Wiedenfeld said she also hopes to eventually add a retail space showcasing local artisans and merchants.

“Yoga has become an integral part of our community’s mental and physical health regimen,” Wiedenfeld said in the press release. “If we can help one person every day know how important they are, how loved they are, how much yoga can help change their mental and physical mindset, we have done our job well.”

The studio will host a grand opening week Oct. 1-9 that will include yoga workshops led by teachers from across the state featuring live music, kirtan, acupuncture and more.
