Nov. 6-14 | Help solve a Wurstfest mystery

During the Circle Arts Theatre’s performance of “Scooby-Wurst,” audiences will watch as Scooby Doo and his friends try to solve a mystery on the Wurstfest Grounds. The interactive play encourages viewers to participate through games and sing-alongs. Nov. 6 | Celebrate veterans

Beginning at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, located at 386 N. Castell Ave., New Braunfels, the Veterans Day Parade will include members of several area military associations. Participants can be veterans or active military members and can email [email protected] to register. The parade will begin at the church, turn down West Zink Street, follow Landa Street to the Main Plaza, circle the plaza, travel down East San Antonio Street and end at Prince Solms Park. 7-8:30 a.m. (staging), 8:30 a.m. (parade begins). Nov. 6-7 | Foster creativity and imagination

During the ninth annual NB Kidsfest, children and families can participate in interactive activities, visit over 100 exhibits and more. Hosted by Hill Country Conferences, the two-day event will give attendees opportunities to use their imaginations, get creative and learn about community resources. Nov. 13 | Get started with composting

The Headwaters at the Comal will teach attendees to compost at home by turning yard debris and food scraps into a resource for use in yards and gardens. Nov.14 | Witness history in the making

As part of the events celebrating the 175th anniversary of the founding of New Braunfels, a time capsule will be buried for future residents of the city to open in 2045—the 200th anniversary of New Braunfels. The time capsule will include letters submitted by residents and other documents that capture the city’s character. Dec. 2 | Sample a selection of wassail

Visit downtown New Braunfels for the annual Wassailfest celebration. The city will host the event in partnership with the New Braunfels Jaycees and the New Braunfels Downtown Association. Downtown streets will be closed during the event, and businesses will offer Wassail samples, demonstrations and other activities.
