The New Braunfels Youth Collaborative, or NBYC, celebrated the completion of the Mill Street Youth Center’s new gym, located at 430 W. Mill St., New Braunfels, on May 9—marking a new purpose for the historic building.
The Mill Street Youth Center—which broke ground in October—is a facility that will provide a dedicated space for middle and high school students to gather, learn and participate in after-school programs, according to previous reporting by Community Impact.
What residents should know
The gym offers space for junior high and high school students to play volleyball, basketball and pickleball, and has an upstairs weight room. The Youth Advisory Council, which helps guide the center, is made up of youth from grades 7-12.
