The Federal Aviation Administration, or FAA, awarded the San Antonio International Airport, or SAT, two grants totaling $43,250,959 on Sept. 25.
The details
The grant will support critical airfield drainage improvements under SAT’s Airfield Safety Enhancements and Improvements Program, or ASEIP. This is the largest single ASEIP award in the airport’s history, Senior Public Information Officer Ana Flores said.
The grant funds will help update and modernize drainage around the airport and expand stormwater capacity, which will ensure SAT meets updated FAA and rainfall design standards, Flores said.
