ADM Mill developers to hold public meeting in New Braunfels for project input

New Braunfels residents and community members will have the opportunity to give input on the future of the Dittlinger Mill site, formerly known as the ADM Mill.

Oxbow Development Group, a San Antonio-based real estate development company, will hold a public meeting on Aug. 25 at 5:30 p.m. in the New Braunfels Civic & Convention Center’s Garden Room to gather community input on the future of the Dittlinger Mill/ADM Mill site. Oxbow Development Group developed San Antonio’s Pearl district, Pullman Market, Hotel Emma and Best Quality Daughter, according to the group’s portfolio.

Attendees will participate in a series of interactive exercises designed to gather feedback on potential uses for the site, desired public spaces and design priorities. The input collected from this meeting will help guide ongoing planning and ensure the project reflects community values and aspirations, according to a news release.

Developers previously indicated that they are looking to build a mixed-use project that would bring more outdoor, retail, restaurant and commercial space to the downtown area. Developers are also looking to construct a parking garage and boutique hotel, as previously reported by Community Impact.

Omar Gonzalez, director of development for Oxbow Development Group, said their goal is to create a place honoring the city’s story that includes the legacy of the Dittlinger Flour Mill and the river.

“Before moving further into the planning process, we want to listen. We hope residents, neighbors, business owners and community stakeholders will join us to share what they value about this site and what they would like to see it become,” Gonzalez said in the release.
