New Braunfels to temporarily suspend green, bulk and brush waste collection

In an effort to minimize the spread of the coronavirus, the city of New Braunfels Solid Waste and Recycling Division will temporarily suspend both green waste and bulk and brush services.

Green waste collection will be suspended after April 2, and no new bulk and brush appointments will be scheduled after March 31.

Curbside residential garbage and recycling routes and commercial garbage collection services are unchanged.

The City Recycle Center at 488 S. Castell Ave. will remain open during regular business hours: Thu.-Sat. 8 a.m.-noon and 12:30-4 p.m.

Visitors to the center are asked to remain in their vehicles when dropping off materials, and attendants will unload their items. Visitors are asked to place materials in either their truck bed or in the trunk of their vehicle to minimize person-to-person contact.
