This fall, the New Braunfels Fire Department will host four public input meetings for residents to provide comments and ask questions as the department works to develop a strategic plan.
The strategic plan will define the mission and goals of the department, and create a guide for service to the community over the next five years, according to a city press release.
During the meetings, participants will be able to share opinions about the services provided by the department and what citizen’s expectations are for services in the future.
“The Fire Department Strategic Plan will guide our agency’s plans over the next five years, and we highly encourage residents to get involved to let us know what they expect from their fire department,” Fire Chief Patrick O’Connell said in the release. “This includes response times for fire and EMS services, equipment, staffing, future fire stations, and specialty programs.”
