New Braunfels announces Thanksgiving holiday closures

Several city facilities will be closed during the week of Thanksgiving in observance of the holiday, according to a city press release.

New Braunfels City Hall will be closed Thursday, Nov. 25, and the municipal court will be closed Nov. 25-26.

Residential and commercial garbage, recycling and green waste will not be collected on Thursday. Those with Thursday collection days will have their collection shifted to Friday.

The city recycling center will also be closed Thursday and Friday and will reopen Saturday at 8 a.m. The administrative offices for the solid waste and recycling division will be closed Thursday and Friday.

Das Rec will be open Wednesday 5 a.m.-7 p.m. It will be closed Thursday and will reopen Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Normal operating hours will resume Saturday and Sunday.

The New Braunfels Public Library will close at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 24 and reopen Saturday, Nov. 27 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

The Westside Community Center will close at 6 p.m. on Nov. 24 and remain closed through Saturday, Nov. 27.

The Landa Park Golf Course at Comal Springs will also be closed Thursday but will resume normal operating hours on Friday.
