A new art gallery, called The Art Collective, is opening soon in New Braunfels.
The backstory
The Art Collective will be opening Aug. 1 at 309 W. San Antonio St. The gallery is owned by mother-daughter duo J. Michelle Watts and Jessica Taylor Fleigle.
Fleigle said her mother had always dreamed of opening an art gallery where she could showcase her work as a textile and fiber artist. Fleigle also said she is an entrepreneur with a “pragmatic business mind and creative spirit.”
“Together, we are embarking on this journey filled with love, creativity and art,” Fleigle said in an email to Community Impact.
What they offer
The Art Collective will showcase Watts’ textile and fiber artwork in addition to the work of several other artists in various mediums. This includes photography, mixed media, sculpture, wearable art and jewelry. The Art Collective will also sell art-adjacent pieces and unique retail items.
Fleigle said they are excited to embark on this journey and share a new creative space with the community.
"We also have many exciting ideas in store to help support and strengthen the local arts community," she said in the email.
