The preschool Hill Country Day School plans to break ground in New Braunfels this summer at 144 River Chase Way.

Locally owned by Haleigh Almquist, Hill Country Day School will serve children from 6 weeks to 4 years old. The 12,000-square-foot facility is slated to break ground in June and open in August 2026, Almquist said.
Hill Country Day School sits on a 5.5-acre property, and the school will use the property for outdoor learning by incorporating walking trails and a splash pad, she said.
