A new barbershop is opening in New Braunfels this spring at 1430 Unicorn Ave., Ste. 102.
What you need to know
The barbershop, named New Braunfels' Barber, is owned by Fred Cortez who has worked as a barber for almost 20 years.
“I come from a family of barbers and hairstylists so I pretty much grew up in this environment,” Cortez told Community Impact.
Cortez’ wife, Wendi Cortez, co-owns the business, and Cortez’ sister and son will also be a part of the business.
Digging deeper
New Braunfels' Barber will specialize in men’s grooming, offering traditional men’s haircuts, razor fades, straight razor shaves and more.
Cortez decided to open his own barbershop because he saw a need, and has also seen how welcoming and supportive the community is.
“I just wanted to be a part of that continued growth and I plan to have a business that provides excellent service. Nothing fancy; just good, honest work,” Cortez said.
