3 new attractions coming soon to Texas Ski Ranch in New Braunfels

Texas Ski Ranch, a water park located at 6700 I-35 in New Braunfels, has plans to offer wakeboarding, water obstacle courses and surfing this year, according to an email to Community Impact from director of inside operations Michelle Mowen.

The water park announced its collaboration with surf park development company—The Stoke Factory—in early January to help renovate the cable park and aqua park, according to a social media post.

Texas Ski Ranch has plans to update its cable wakeboarding system and add a floating aqua park with the assistance of The Stoke Factory. The facility currently has a cable park, retail shop and dining options, according to its website.

The timeline

The cable wakeboarding system and aqua park are slated to open in March. The wakeboard system will allow visitors to wakeboard or waterski without a boat and the aqua park will feature slides, trampolines, climbing walls and balance beams.

The surfing facility is anticipated to open in the fall, and will feature a wave pool for surfers of all experience levels, according to the Texas Ski Ranch website.
