Northbound US 75 in Allen to close overnight April 23

Officials are planning to close US 75’s northbound lanes in Allen on April 23 while work continues on a $45.9 million bridge replacement project.

What you need to know

Weather permitting, the closure is scheduled from 9 p.m. April 23 to 5 a.m. April 24, according to a traffic advisory notice from the Texas Department of Transportation. All northbound lanes between Stacy Road and SH 121 will be closed.

Traffic will be diverted at the Ridgeview Drive exit onto the frontage road during the closure. Drivers will be able to take the entrance ramp back onto US 75 at SH 121.

The context

US 75’s southbound lanes were closed April 17 while construction crews from Indus Construction continued work on the project. The project plans for a new bridge crossing US 75 at its intersection with Ridgeview Drive.

TxDOT awarded the contract to Indus Construction in 2022. The project is slated to finish later this summer.
