1. Lake Forest Drive expansion

Crews are working to construct an additional lane in each direction along Lake Forest Drive from SH 121 to McKinney Ranch Parkway. A turn lane for traffic traveling east on McKinney Ranch and turning right onto Lake Forest will be added to McKinney Ranch, and a turn lane for traffic turning left from eastbound SH 121 to northbound Lake Forest will also be added. One lane on Lake Forest will be closed periodically between 9 a.m.-4 p.m. daily.

Intersection improvements

2A. Crews are working to construct a northbound right-turn lane on Custer at Stonebridge Drive.

2B. Crews are also working to construct a westbound left-turn lane on Stacy Road at Custer.

2C. Crews will soon begin working to construct a traffic signal at Custer and Fountain View Drive. Design is complete for the Custer intersections, and construction is scheduled to begin sometime in March.

2D. The city is working to construct northbound and southbound left-turn lanes on Community Avenue at Wilmeth Road. Design for this project is scheduled to be complete in March, and construction is set to begin in June 2016. As of the end of February, franchise utilities are moving their infrastructure and hope to be finished within a few weeks. The city contractor will start as soon as they are out of the way.

3. Custer Road widening

Construction began in January to widen Custer Road from four lanes to six lanes. The project stretches from SH 121 to Stonebridge Drive. The Frisco project includes widening the bridge on the roadway and modifying the traffic signals. Construction is set to be completed in December.
