Software development company Sigmetrix announced plans Dec. 9 to expand its headquarters in McKinney. The company will create seven new skilled positions over the next three years with a grant from the McKinney Economic Development Corp. Innovation Fund.
“McKinney has been a great place for us to grow our business," Sigmetrix President James Stoddard said in a statement. "The expansion of our headquarters has a lot to do with the local market, and the Innovation Fund grant was confirmation for us to continue scaling our business in McKinney.”
The Innovation Fund was established by MEDC in January as a way to award grant funding to startups and other companies that do not necessarily qualify for traditional economic incentives.
Sigmetrix has been in McKinney since its inception in 1999. It offers customers tolerance analysis and standards-based Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, or GD&T, authoring software. Sigmetrix also provides training and consulting services on mechanical variation, GD&T and dimensional management.
