City planners issued 1,639 single-family permits in 2025, which includes permits issued for homes within city limits and the Trinity Falls Municipal Utility District. Residential developments that saw the most permits issued for single-family homes included Painted Tree, Trinity Falls, Aster Park and Hidden Lakes. New single-family homes accounted for more than $553 million in construction value.

The value of nonresidential construction surpassed the city’s previous record set in 2022, according to Quint’s presentation. There were permits issued for projects located across the city, Quint said.

His presentation included three commercial projects completed in 2025 that were ranked by construction value:

1. BMW of McKinney: $24 million in construction value
2. Encore Wire expansion: $20 million in construction value
3. Denizen Hotel: $11.4 million
