McKinney City Council voted unanimously March 16 to approve two annexations that will add a combined 133 acres to the city.
The first such request of the evening was to annex about 60 acres east of County Road 943 on the south side of Bloomdale Road and develop it into a single-family residential community. This will be for the fourth phase of the Erwin Farms residential community.
McKinney Director of Planning Jennifer Arnold said City Council had considered a development annexation agreement in late 2020 with Erwin Farms Phase 4, which outlined the agreements of the development.
“Them coming forward to you tonight requesting annexation and zoning is making good on that pre-annexation agreement that was considered late last year,” she said.
