The CJ Cup Byron Nelson golf tournament is returning to TPC Craig Ranch this weekend.
The gist
The first tee times are scheduled May 21 and play is currently scheduled to run through May 24, according to CJ Cup’s website. PGA golfers are returning to play a reimagined course at TPC Craig Ranch after a renovation project was completed in December.
The renovations overhauled the existing course with turf enhancements, redesigned bunkers and redesigned greens.
“The greens definitely have a little bit more character to them than they did in the past year,” said PGA Tour official Mike Peterson during a media preview event. “It will be a little bit more of a challenge.”
What’s changed?
For fans, multiple public venues are returning this year including The Green and the House of CJ. The House of CJ has been expanded and will feature six Korean brands revolving around food, entertainment and beauty.
The Green has been moved to hole 10 where it will sell golf lifestyle brands. Proceeds from The Green will benefit Momentous Institute, a mental health organization that offers support for children and families across the U.S. and the globe.
High Noon is sponsoring a new clubhouse that’s open to the public this year. The venue is located along the 18th hole’s fairway and will offer High Noon-branded drinks.
The Pavilion is also returning and will be open to the public. The venue is a covered viewing deck featuring a bar at hole 17. The Choctaw Club and Champions Club, both exclusive venues, are also returning this year.

Tickets are available through the tournament’s website. The tournament is formally hosted by the Salesmanship Club of Dallas and exists to raise money for the Momentous Institute. Since 1968, the tournament has raised more than $190 million for the institute.
