Meal prices for McKinney ISD students will increase next school year.
The McKinney ISD board of trustees approved a contract renewal with Aramark Educational Services at a March 23 meeting. The renewed contract includes a price increase for paid breakfast and lunch.
The specifics
The district’s current contract with Aramark Educational Services is for the 2025-26 school year with four, one-year renewal options, per district documents. This renewed contract is the first of the four optional renewals.
Paid breakfast and lunch will increase by $0.10 from last year’s prices across all campuses, according to district documents. There will be no change to free and reduced lunch rates.
New meal prices are as follows:
- Breakfast: $1.60
- Lunch at an elementary campus: $3.20
- Lunch at a secondary campus: $3.45
