The Texas School Safety Center has conducted intruder detection audits at one or more of McKinney ISD’s campuses.
The audits test whether a district’s campuses are safe from unauthorized individuals, said Rusty May, MISD senior director of safety and security, during a Nov. 13 board meeting. Detailed results from the audits will not be shared with the public as it could compromise campus safety, he said.
“The top priority of the McKinney Independent School District and the state of Texas is keeping students and staff safe every day,” May said.
