Potbelly is set to debut in west McKinney this September, a company news release states.

The sandwich shop with over 465 locations offers a variety of toasted sandwiches as well as wraps, salads, soups, macaroni and cheese, milkshakes and more, according to the company's website.
The McKinney restaurant is owned and operated by franchisees Barry and Remington Burke, a father-and-son duo that also has plans to bring a total of 15 shops to North and East Texas, the release states.
“West McKinney has such a strong sense of community and a lot of energy around its growth, making it a natural fit for Potbelly,” Remington Burke said in the release. “We’re looking forward to opening our doors and bringing residents and the local workforce together over great food and good vibes. Our team is ready to welcome longtime Potbelly fans and first-time guests alike with the craveable food, friendly service and neighborhood-driven atmosphere that define Potbelly.”

While the restaurant opening is slated for early September, a grand opening celebration is planned for 11 a.m.-1 p.m., Sept. 19. The event will include food, giveaways, games and prizes, including the opportunity to win Potbelly for a year.
The context
The restaurant will be a tenant in the Eldorado Neighborhood Shops development, a project by Plano-based SLX Capital that will be anchored by a Trader Joe’s store at the southwest corner of Stonebridge Drive and Eldorado Parkway in McKinney. Other business tenants in the development include Chipotle, Crunch Fitness and Mountain Mike’s Pizza.
