Collin Springs, a new behavioral health hospital, is expected to debut in north McKinney in March 2024, Lifepoint Health Director of Construction Corbin Clinage said.
The single-story, 58,000-square-foot facility will include 72 beds as well as a pharmacy and administrative support areas, according to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The hospital will also have a kitchen, a basketball court and other activities for patients, Clinage said. The estimated cost of the facility is $17.5 million, according to the development filing.
The hospital is part of the Springstone hospital group, which is owned by Lifepoint Health. The hospital will also be a sister facility to Carrollton Springs, a behavioral health hospital in Carrollton, Texas, Clinage said.
Specialized treatments will be offered at the hospital, including treatment for types of mental illnesses, drug rehabilitation, suicide prevention and more, he said.
