5. Playa Bowls
The business sells smoothie bowls with bases including acai, mango, pitaya, coconut, green blend, banana blend and oatmeal. Other menu items include smoothies, juices and cold brew, according to its website. Playa Bowls also has locations in Southlake and Allen.

Plunj specializes in contrast therapy services as a dry sauna and cold plunge studio. Customers can alternate between a sauna and cold plunge pool to boost circulation and reduce inflammation, according to its website. The business also offers red light therapy services.
The independent, private eye care practice is led by founder Dr. Amber Paulsen. According to its website, the practice offers comprehensive eye care and exams as well as contact lens evaluations, diabetic eye exams, dry eye management, myopia management, pediatric eye exams and more.

10. Crunch Fitness
The $12 million, 40,000-square-foot facility will feature a wide range of cardio equipment, free weights and weight machines, according to its website. The gym will also include locker rooms with showers, a boxing area and offer group fitness classes.
The business will offer a space for owners to board their cats in a safe environment while they are away. The Purrrfect Lounge will offer climate-controlled rooms, daily wellness checks and a variety of toys and climbing spaces, according to their website.
12. Wonder
The food hall is app-based and allows diners to mix and match dishes from more than 20 restaurants in a single dine-in, pickup or delivery order. The kitchen also offers menu items in collaboration with chefs such as Bobby Flay and restaurants such as Tejas Barbecue, alongside Wonder concepts such as Pop Salad. The company, which has more than 100 locations in 10 states along the East Coast, is planning to bring more than 100 new locations to Texas beginning in early 2027, a representative of the company confirmed.

13. Kiddie Academy of McKinney
The franchise location of Kiddie Academy Educational Child Care is now owned and operated by husband-and-wife Elango Karunamoorthy and Kirthika Balu, along with business partners Vijay and Deepika Ilavarasan, per a June 17 news release.
The McKinney childcare center spans 8,500 square feet including nine classrooms, per the release. The center also has an outdoor playground, splashpad, soccer field and basketball court. Kiddie Academy of McKinney offers care for children 6 weeks to 12 years old, including full- and part-time care as well as after-school care and summer camp programs.
