Cavender’s is set to open this summer in McKinney’s 380 Towne Crossing, said Benjamin Smith, Younger Partners senior property manager for the shopping center.
Younger Partners acquired this center in late December.
“Shortly thereafter, we received bankruptcy notices from Party City stating that its lease at 2097 N. Central Expressway in McKinney would be up for auction to be purchased by new entities looking to continue the existing lease,” Smith said. “Recently, we were notified that Cavender’s was the winning bid and would begin its finish out and be open for business ASAP.”
Party City closed March 31 and construction work to renovate the space for Cavender’s is underway. According to a filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the renovation project is estimated to cost $550,000.
