1. Collin County Commissioners will vote on budget and tax rate
County commissioners will vote proposed 2016-17 budget of $315 million today at 1:30 p.m. at the Jack Hatchell Administration Building, 2300 Bloomdale Road, McKinney. The county will also be voting on the proposed tax rate of $0.208395 per $100 valuation, which represents a 7 percent decrease from last year and is the largest tax rate cut in 30 years. 2. McKinney City Council workshop tonight
The McKinney City Council will hold a workshop tonight at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall, 222 N. Tennessee St., McKinney. 3. City Council meeting tomorrow, budget and tax rate discussed
The McKinney City Council will hold a regularly scheduled council meeting Tuesday night at 6 p.m. at City Hall, 222 N. Tennessee St., McKinney. Items up for discussion include the renaming of a 16-acre park in West McKinney, the 2016-17 budget, the 2016-17 tax rate, changes to city rates and fees for services, a site plan for an office and storage facility near Taylor-Burk Drive and Community Avenue and an amendment to the zoning regulations for the Town Center Study.
