Sugar Land Town Square celebrated the completed renovations of its plaza as special events took place July 27-29, according to a press release. The plaza is located in the heart of Town Square at 15958 City Walk, Sugar Land. Improvements include an elevated deck, a shade canopy, artificial turf, fun furniture to provide additional seating options, picnic tables, state-of-the-art LED lighting, free Wi-Fi and music streamed throughout the deck area. This is the first time the plaza has received upgrades since 2004, according to a statement from Planned Community Developers, which developed Town Square in 2003. “Sugar Land has a strong sense of community spirit, and we wanted the plaza, which is located at the heart of the square, to reflect that,” PCD Managing Director Wende Lewis-Buckley said in the release. “We are excited to introduce the community to the new-look plaza as a place where the community can come together—where children play, families relax, and friends take fitness classes together.” Residents and visitors can find out about future community events at www.sugarlandtownsquare.com.
