National fast food chain Checkers Drive-In Restaurants is entering the Houston market for the first time in 2017. One of the first 27 locations slated to open this year will be in Pearland at 2401 S. Main St. When the Pearland location opens in August, it will feature a double drive-thru, and menu items include hamburgers, fries, wings and hotdogs. Other Houston area locations include Katy, Humble, Cypress and Baytown. The chain operates 851 locations across the U.S. www.checkers.com
