Miles Frost, Jim Cummins and Steve Baur purchased the store, barbecue restaurant and meat-processing center from brothers Scott and Smedley Evans, who had bought the business from the original owner, Ed Dozier, in 1985.
Frost said he and his partners are working with the Dozier family to tweak the restaurant’s recipes so that they are more true to Dozier's original flavors. They also plan to bring in additional meats and craft all side dishes in-house.
“We’re making it more like Dozier’s than ever before,” Frost said.
