Mesquite Creek Outfitters at 704 S. Austin Ave., Georgetown, was named best downtown business for a community with a population over 50,000 by the Texas Downtown Association at its conference in early November.  According to a news release, judges selected Mesquite Creek Outfitters based on the business’ contributions to downtown and local causes, as well as its status as a destination business that attracts out-of-town customers.
