At the Oct. 16 Town Council meeting, council voted to name the future council chambers Jody Smith Hall after former Mayor Jody Smith. Smith served as mayor from 2004-10. “She is probably the best ambassador to represent Flower Mound and is probably the most generous person in our community,” Flower Mound Mayor Tom Hayden said. The new Town Hall, which is being built in the same location, is expected to be complete in 2019.
