Jim Pierson, a former Flower Mound Town Council member, was booked into Denton County Jail on June 4 on two felony charges accusing him of sexually abusing a child.
Pierson was arrested on suspicion of continuous sex abuse of a child with the victim under the age of 14 and indecency with a child by sexual contact, according to court documents. The crimes are alleged to have occurred in 2015 and 2017. The charge alleging continuous sexual abuse of a child is a first-degree felony, and the indecency with a child charge is a second-degree felony. Both warrants were issued through the Denton County Justice of the Peace Precinct 1.
Each charge carried a bond of $25,000, which Pierson posted, records show. He has since been released.
