Two warming centers will be open in Lewisville when an extreme cold watch goes into effect Feb. 18.

The National Weather Service has issued an extreme cold watch notice for multiple cities in Denton County including Lewisville and Flower Mound. The notice will be in effect from Tuesday night through Thursday morning, according to NWS.
There’s a slight chance of freezing rain expected between 9 p.m.-12 a.m. Feb. 18 with wind gusts that could reach 30 mph, according to NWS’ weekly forecast. Temperatures are expected to fall to 19 degrees fahrenheit that night.
