Ronald Reagan Boulevard lane widening

Project: The county-led project will widen about seven miles from FM 3405 to Hwy. 29, including separated northbound and southbound roadways. New traffic signals are operational at Ronald Reagan Boulevard and Santa Rita Boulevard.

Update: Construction is underway.

• Timeline: August 2024-summer 2027

• Cost: $52.4 million

• Funding source: Williamson County 2019 road bond

Upcoming

Freedom River Parkway East and West

Project: Construction of new east-west roadway connections from Hwy. 29 to RM 1869 and from Bagdad Road, CR 279 to Hwy. 29, improving Liberty Hill bypass connectivity.

Update: Both projects remain in the design phase through 2026 as part of the Liberty Hill bypass connectivity network.

• Timeline: early 2027–early 2029

• Cost: East $36.3 million; West $61.5 million

• Funding source: Williamson County 2023 road bond

CR 214 extension

Project: Work includes the construction of two bidirectional lanes to extend CR 214 from Lariat Loop-South Hemingway Loop to US 183 over the San Gabriel River.

Update: Design expected to be completed later this year.
