Progress on the Leander Senior Activity Center continues to move forward after City Council unanimously approved an $8.8 million contract for construction services during its May 2 meeting.
"I just want to celebrate with you guys, I know it’s been a long time coming," council member David McDonald said at the meeting.
About the project
Amenities at the Senior Activity Center will include:
- A lobby with a seating area
- Library with a coffee cafe
- Game room and large-screen TV
- An activities room and multipurpose hall
- Fitness center
- Commercial kitchen
- Special-use offices
